My blog PR is getting lower and lower, from PR5 to PR4. When I run the Page Rank Predictor just now, the predicted PR is 4 but bracket 3.7. Although the predicted PR is still 4 ( same when I run it about 2 weeks ago) , but the value in the bracket is getting lower, I remember my highest value in the bracket is 4.6.
It’s quite worrying when I see these figures because PR is important when you are dealing with paid post and link exchange. Dropping from PR5 to PR4 (and probably PR3 in future) had made me realized that something must be wrong.
Even though I’ve not involve in link exchange much lately, natural links do come in and I link to related web sites as well in my content post. Trying to figure out what went wrong, I’ve installed a plugin that will add “nofollow” tag to all the external links in content posts. The purpose of adding the “nofollow” tag is to reduce PR leakage.
And now I can only sit and wait for 2- 3 weeks and see if the BIG DADDY likes my site and probably generous enough to give my site a little increment in PR.
Will keep you posted if it does work or else I’ll need to figure it out whether the drop of the PR is because of other factors (e.g. paid links ) .
Update 27/6/2007 : Great.. my predicted PR drops to 3.1 ![]()
