Once a week, I will use Adsense Preview Tool to capture the Ads that appeared in my blog. After compiling the list, I’ll visit the web sites one by one before filtering them.
Here are some simple rules that I’ve came up with to determine whether the web sites should go into my Competitive Ad Filter list.
- If most of the web site space is covered by adsense
- If the landing page is a search result with sponsored Ads
- If it is a domain parking site
- If the web site sound suspicious
- If not relevant to my blog content e.g. marketing, make money online stuff
- Or if I just don’t like the design..
However, I feel the slap after continuing filtering the Ads for few weeks. The CPC has dropped more than 50% and my adsense income has hurt badly.
Nevertheless, to revive my *adsense income*, I’ve restored the Competitive Ad Filter with original list and hope by this litter tweaking, the CPC will increased.
It seems like lots of stuff going on my blog lately. First the traffic and ranking drop, then my PR and now my adsense CPC.
What a week.. *duh*
Update: I just can’t seems to stand all the *MFA* sites that appeared on my blog. I slap back the Competitive Ad Filter list with the latest one. Will see how it goes.. Hm..
